Hello! My name is Chloe and I’m currently based in Dundee, Scotland. I’m really honored to be guest-posting on Jenn’s blog!
Having lived in Scotland for 23 years, I have only recently been starting to appreciate the beauty that has always surrounded me here. I’m lucky to have such magnificent scenery at my doorstep and I absolutely love sharing all of the beautiful places I discover each time I go exploring. Here are just 5 of my favorite places in East Scotland:
Based in the village of Glen Isla, this 150ft waterfall is a hidden gem. Although quite a steep walk through the woodland, the view is definitely worth it.
Balmerino is a very small and quiet village in Fife which boasts a beautiful pebble beach laid out in front of a forest. There are some spots in the forest with fire pits, where you can set up a campfire with scenic views of the river Tay.
Stretching from Auchmithie to Arbroath, these stunning sandstone cliffs are not to be missed. You can even do some cave diving here if you can handle the freezing Scottish temperatures!
Falls of Bruar
Just outside of Pitlochry, these magnificent falls are located close to the House of Bruar. The walking trail takes you through a steep (but beautiful) wooded gorge to the crystal clear falls.
Fife coastal path
In my opinion, this is the most beautiful place on my list. The route begins in Kincardine and ends in Newburgh. Obviously I haven’t walked it all, but the 183km footpath leads through various beaches, harbours, woodlands, nature reserves and golf courses.
