Fenty Beauty review by a Budgetgirl

Hello ladies! and gentlemen... keeping it gender neutral ;)

OMG so I finally got to the FENTY BEAUTY review! If you did not know, Rihanna has launched a make up line with 40 foundation shades! She has created an extremely inclusive cosmetics line for ALL. The first launch included foundations, contour sticks, universal lip gloss, highlighters and more. The focus of this review will consist on the foundation, highlighter and contour sticks. I am not a makeup guru, this is just my opinion. I love the natural make up look so when I saw that the Fenty line focused on a natural finish, I had to try it.

- Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation $34

-Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter $34 ( 5 shades)

-Match Stix Trio $54 (contour, conceal and highlight)

THOUGHTS & Descriptions;

It all started with a trip to Sephora, which by the way I rarely shop there. As I mentioned before, I am not much of a make up person but I really wanted to try this line. I got to the store and went straight for the contour sticks. I grabbed the box that said "TAN" because I thought that was my color. I asked the Sephora employee if she agreed and she did. But she did not color swatch me! Guess what..... when I went home it was not my shade! It was for a darker skin color, way darker. I had to go back the following week and this time I was swatched by another employee. This time I ended up also buying the foundation and duo highlighter (she sure did a good job! lol).

I absolutely fell in love with the foundation, it is LIGHT. The formula is perfection, it soaks into your skin and leaves an airbrushed finish. It looks like I am not wearing make up! I HIGHLY recommend this product. If you like a natural look this is for you, it has medium coverage. I don't think this would be good for someone who wants a BAKED face. The formula is very creamy, if you don't wear that much make up like me this product will last you a long time. Even if you do, the foundation does a lot with a little amount.

omg....doesn't even look like I have anything on! I am wearing the foundation, contour sticks and Killawatt highlighter in this picture.

Killawatt Duo Highlighter: (color: mean money $ hustla baby)

Let me tell you, this is my new obsession. Sometimes I just put on the basics, all I do is throw some highlighter, lipstick and mascara and I'm out the door. The Fenty Killawatt highlighters are gorgeous, the glow they leave are long lasting, pigmented and there are options for your skin color. I am a tan girl and the Mean money & Hustla baby colors were perfect for me! I am really digging the highlighter trend. After setting my face with the NYX setting spray, I swear the glow lasted HOURS. This is a really great product, and the packaging is adorable with a sheer pearl colored case and mirror inside.

Match stix trio: (color: Medium 200 - Bamboo, Mocha, Trippin)

This is actually a really great item for someone who doesn't like to put on that much make up. All you need to is; contour your face, conceal under your eyes and some spots, then use the highlighting stick on your cheeks....

The highlighter sticks can be used on your cheeks, eyes, and even on your lips. Her products are multi-purpose. But yes, this trio is lovely. I am loving the different shades and colors. I think the stixs are best blended with a beauty blender, the formula is very creamy. The packaging is really cute and they are magnetic so they all stick together which is great for traveling. The tubes have a good amount of product, this will probably last me a year lol.

I highly recommend these products. I love the airbrushed look and feel. I love the coverage, and the diversity. Is it worth the price? I do think so. I rarely buy expensive make up if it is not worth the money. Obviously you can find cheaper contour sticks at the store. But something that I can not go without is that foundation! dear lord it is beautiful. I give these products 5stars!

If you want to try on some creamy highlighters she also has several shades with the Match stix; (another option from the killawatt)
