First time in a salt cave! never thought I would say that, or be excited to say that. Most of you saw my Instagram stories and were intrigued by it.
"Never seen that before!"
"where is that???"
"that's so cool"
Well, I am all about new experiences and finding new things so when I got the opportunity to go check out Miami Salt Wellness I was so excited. To be honest, I had no idea what to expect! All I knew was that I would be going to some type of Salt Therapy room and that there are health benefits to the experience.
"Dry salt therapy, or halotherapy, is a holistic, drug free, natural therapy using micro particles of salt to promote better breathing, healthier skin, sounder sleep, improved physical fitness and endurance and overall wellness. Dry salt therapy also helps to alleviate symptoms of many respiratory and skin conditions."
The Salt rooms are beautifully displayed with Himilayan salt as the main theme. When you enter the rooms you must remove your shoes and step into a floor of pink salt. There are recline-able chairs with a pillow and a blanket, waiting to make you feel comfortable. The walls are made of Baltic sea salt that come straight from Israel, you are also welcomed by a huge Himalayan salt brick wall that really makes a statement. If you think thats not enough salt... think again. There is salt being pumped through the vents, monitored by these machines (that at the moment I can't remember their names) that grind the salt to the point that it can be inhaled. Don't worry, everything is measured out so you get just the right amount into each room. It's totally safe!
absolutely. They even have a kids playground!
and of course... STRESS!
My personal experience and what I felt:
Okay, so I felt the difference in just minutes of being inside! I am totally not joking, my friend felt the same way. It's an experience I don't think I can put into words. My body felt at peace, so incredibly relaxed I could have fallen asleep with no problem. I came in with an open mind, being in that room made me feel like nothing in the world mattered. If you're looking to relax then I truly recommend coming to a salt cave. So much positive energy, I left feeling like my vibrations were on another level. My body was tingly the whole time. IT WAS INCREDIBLE! Take some time to mediate in the room and just feel present and grateful.
OH! and you can't forget the tea! Pablo, the owner of the venue treated us to some tea and it was just the perfect setting to relax with a comfy blanket and hang out with a friend.
I recommend everyone to check it out.
You have the option to be in the VIP room which hosts 2 people, or there is a shared room. But don't worry, everyone knows to be quite and to just RELAX.
